Where Flowers Become Gowns — The Story Behind Summer 2026

Firas Abou Hamdan Couture

There is a particular kind of woman Firas Abou Hamdan designs for. She doesn't need to announce herself. The dress does it — quietly, then all at once.

His Summer 2026 collection is perhaps the purest expression of that philosophy yet. Walking through it feels less like browsing a lineup of eveningwear and more like stepping into a garden that has decided to dress you. Botanical forms are everywhere — in hand-applied laser-cut flowers blooming across a fuchsia bodice, in the sage green leaf embroidery trailing down a blush skirt, in the way a Swarovski-set jaddoule belt mimics the organic weave of nature itself. The greenhouse wasn't just a backdrop for the campaign. It was the whole idea.

"Absolute femininity" is the phrase that runs through everything Abou Hamdan creates — and Summer 2026 commits to it completely.

These are not gowns that hedge their bets. The rose gold paillette mermaid traces the body with intention. The fuchsia fringe skirt moves like something living. The sage brodé A-line trails the floor as though it belongs there, among the leaves. Each piece is a decision — a full sentence, not a suggestion.

What makes this collection particularly notable is its relationship with colour. Working with lighter, softer palettes — blush, sage, silver, mint — is one of fashion's most deceptive challenges. Pale shades have nowhere to hide. Every seam, every proportion, every embellishment choice is exposed in a way that deeper tones simply don't demand. Abou Hamdan leans into that vulnerability rather than away from it, using layers of texture — plissé, brodé lace, beaded fringe, Swarovski crystal — to give light colours weight and presence without ever sacrificing their softness.

The result is a collection that feels timeless in the most literal sense — not of a specific trend or moment, but of something that will look exactly as considered in ten years as it does today.

That is, perhaps, the truest definition of couture. Not clothes made carefully. Clothes made to last.
